Jocelyn Best is a character in The Royle Family. She only appears in The New Sofa.
History[]
Jocelyn is the mother of David and wife of David Senior. She like her husband is never named until the episode The New Sofa when she makes her first appearance. Jocelyn at first is a quiet women at first but once she get's seated down for dinner, she manages to have a good conversation with everyone.
Jim is pleasent towards Jocelyn and changes his tone if she talks to him after Barbara does.
